Chris Day is the Oil Sands Industry Sales Manager at Spartan Controls, where he partners with producers and operators to advance automation, reliability, and digital solutions across oil sands operations.

With more than 25 years of experience in industrial automation and the energy sector, Chris began his career in the electrical field before moving into instrumentation and control systems. He later completed his Instrumentation Technology training at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).

Over more than two decades at Spartan Controls, Chris has held a range of technical, project, and commercial roles, including instrumentation design, project management, territory leadership, and account management. In his current role, he leads a dedicated team supporting oil sands operators with a focus on reliability, operational efficiency, and the adoption of advanced technologies across complex energy environments.

Originally from Canada’s East Coast, Chris is now based in Calgary, where he lives with his wife and three children.
