JOY ROMERO

Joy Romero is a metallurgical engineer with over 30 years of experience in the energy sector. She is currently Executive Advisor, Innovation at Canadian Natural Resources Limited, Board Member and Past President of the Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN), Steering Committee member for BC’s Methane Emissions Reduction Collaborative, member of the National Research Council - Clean Energy Innovation Research Centre Advisory Board, advisor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and serves on ABSA’s and Calgary’s Heritage Park Boards.

Joy is an inductee of the Canadian Petroleum Hall of Fame, was recognized by Foresight Canada as one the top 20 women leading clean tech in Canada, a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal and an Honourary Doctor of Science from Athabasca University, is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
