Paul Vander Valk, P.Eng, MBA, is Vice President of Projects & Well Delivery at Athabasca, where he leads the safe execution of Thermal Drilling, Completions, and Facilities projects. He joined the company in 2022 and was promoted to his current role in 2025. With over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, he brings deep expertise in SAGD and a strong track record in execution leadership, including serving as COO at Harvest Operations and Vice President of Production Systems at Cenovus. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School.
